Mrs. Frances Ellen HOULEHAN, wife of Thomas J. Houlehan well known hardware merchant of this city passed away at the family residence on Marshall Street Friday night following an illness from a complicaiton of diseases. Mrs. Houlehan was confined to her bed several weeks ago and since that time her condition had grown gradually worse. She was born Oct 15, 1864, the daughter of Thomas W. and Mary J. Stout. On Nov 6, 1881, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Houlehan. Besides the immediate family, Mrs. Houlehan leaves many friends to mourn her death. The deceased was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and for many years had taken an active interest in the affairs of this congregation. Surviving are her husband, 4 children: Mrs. HL Davis of Indianapolis; Mrs. RR Merrell of Michigan City, and Mary C. Houlehan and Fred Houlehan of this city. The following grandchildren Henry T and William Davis of Indianapolis, Jane Richard, Martha and Louise Houlehan of this city, and Francis Anna and Marjorie Merrill of Michigan City. One son, A.E. Houlehan preceded her in death 4 years ago. The funeral services will be conducted from the home on Marshall Street Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial will be made in Oak Hill Cemetry - transcribed by kbz

Funeral services were held at Crawfordsville Monday afternoon for Mrs. Frances Ellen Houlehan age 63 years, wife of Thomas Houlehan, hardware merchant who died Friday night. Among the four surviving children is Mrs. Henry L. Davis, of Indianapolis, a former resident of this city.
